Our Regional Snowsport Schools in Manchester, Hemel Hempstead, Tamworth, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rossendale and Sandown are open all- year round to bring you adaptive ski and snowboard lessons.  You can book sessions at your local centre here. (click on the Adaptive Snowsport header to find your local centre).

We also have a range of special activities going on over the Summer. These include:

What: Closed slope Mondays

Where: Chill Factore, Manchester

When: 22nd July, 26th August, 16th September and 14th October

Why: Thanks to support from Berghaus, DSUK have exclusive access to the Chill Factore between 6pm and 9pm on the dates above, providing an opportunity for  people to learn to ski or snowboard, progressing your skills in a calm environment without the hustle and bustle of other slope users in the centre. A terrific way to get more from your slope time for people who might feel a little more nervous amongst the crowds.

Why: Sign up to take part in the final race of the 2024 series in an open event, aimed at both skiers and snowboarders with disabilities. The races are slalom events suitable for a wide range of abilities, with the format allowing for racers to train and then have as many runs as you can fit into the two-hour race window, with your best time taken towards the results. This is an ideal event to test yourself and compete together with friends, family and fellow UK based skiers and snowboarders. There will be winners for the individual races and for the overall series with this final race taking place between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Why: These bi-ski lessons are for people who will benefit from a seated skiing experience starting with an instructor and will then develop their core stability, coordination skills and movement to ski more independently. Sessions are available weekly starting at £43 per hour.

We run our first taster sessions on a dry slope with PAMIS, an organisation that assists people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, their families, carers and professionals. This has been met with positive feedback on the experience. We have had several requests to continue with these sessions on an ongoing basis.
