Cool off on the slopes this Summer
Our Regional Snowsport Schools in Manchester, Hemel Hempstead, Tamworth, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rossendale and Sandown are open all- year round to bring you adaptive ski and snowboard lessons. We also have a range of special activities going on over the Summer. These include:
What: Closed slope Mondays
Where: Chill Factore, Manchester
When: 22nd July, 26th August, 16th September and 14th October
Why: Thanks to support from Berghaus, DSUK have exclusive access to the Chill Factore between 6pm and 9pm on the dates above, providing an opportunity for people to learn to ski or snowboard, progressing your skills in a calm environment without the hustle and bustle of other slope users in the centre. A terrific way to get more from your slope time for people who might feel a little more nervous amongst the crowds.

What: Para-Alpine Performance Coaching Programme
Where: The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead
When: 31st July, 28th August, 25th September
Why: Looking to take your adaptive skiing to the next level? Our Para-Alpine Performance Coaching Programme provides the first step in developing a pathway between grass roots snowsports and the GB Parasnowsport team. With a focus on interactive coaching, we enable you to draw out and develop your own knowledge and techniques, with video analysis provided to help direct your practice in between the sessions. To participate, you are required to be an intermediate to advanced, independent skier (including on the lift) in one of the following disciplines: Mono and dual skiers, stand-up (3 & 4 track) or a VI with a guide. Sessions take place between 5:30m to 7:30pm.

What: Parallel Lines race series
Where: Chill Factore, Manchester
When: 1st September
Why: Sign up to take part in the final race of the 2024 series in an open event, aimed at both skiers and snowboarders with disabilities. The races are slalom events suitable for a wide range of abilities, with the format allowing for racers to train and then have as many runs as you can fit into the two-hour race window, with your best time taken towards the results. This is an ideal event to test yourself and compete together with friends, family and fellow UK based skiers and snowboarders. There will be winners for the individual races and for the overall series with this final race taking place between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

What: School holiday activity sessions
Where: SnowDome, Tamworth
When: Fri 26th July- Thursday 29th August
Why: #OurClub Summer Sessions are back for 2024 thanks to Consensio Chalets, who have sponsored the programme for a second year. These sessions are inclusive activity days where siblings and friends, with or without disabilities, can equally participate in and enjoy together. Activities in the sessions include: Snowsports, ice skating and climbing.

What: Bi-skiing sessions
Where: Glasgow Ski and Snowboarding Centre
When: Ongoing - weekly
Why: These bi-ski lessons are for people who will benefit from a seated skiing experience starting with an instructor and will then develop their core stability, coordination skills and movement to ski more independently. Sessions are available weekly starting at £43 per hour.
We run our first taster sessions on a dry slope with PAMIS, an organisation that assists people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, their families, carers and professionals. This has been met with positive feedback on the experience. We have had several requests to continue with these sessions on an ongoing basis.
