What to do when you arrive

We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the lesson, leaving enough time to park, maybe have a drink or snack and then get kitted up for the lesson.

1.     For DSUK Lessons come up to level 1 and pass around the side of reception and wait by the window overlooking the slope,  marked ‘Adaptive Snowsports Meeting Point’ and await your instructor

2.     Your DSUK instructor might be busy with other lessons when you arrive, so don’t worry if you can’t see them straight away.  If you are going to be using regular ski/ board boots and skis/ board – go up the rental counter, say you are with DSUK, and get them to sort out your equipment.

3.     There are changing rooms behind the lockers (on the right).  There is a larger changing room at the far end (nearest rental desk) that will accommodate a wheelchair.   Lockers for bags cost £1, but that is refundable.

4.     If you need a ski jacket and ski trousers these can be rented, at a special DSUK price of £3, from the clothing desk within the rental area (say you’re with DSUK, or wait for your instructor).  For skis / snowboard/ boots go up to the end rental desk and ask for the appropriate kit.

5.     If you are going to be sitskiing, either bring warm outdoor boots or borrow a pair of snowboard boots from the rental desk for the lesson.

6.     Helmets are obligatory and can be found on the stands in rental area.

7.     Any concerns, just ask centre staff where to go and what to do – so that you can be ready for the start of the lesson.

8.     Come earlier and have some food or drink in the cafe ‘The Lodge’ on the second floor overlooking the slope.
