The Manchester local group is a welcoming, safe and fun environment for snowboarders and skiers with a disability, and their non-disabled family and friends to enjoy the snow at Chill Factore.
Seven months of the year our sessions take place when Chill Factore is closed to the public, and DSUK and our friends have exclusive use of the slope. Snowboarders, stand up and sit skiers are all equally welcome.
In the summer months we offer lessons alongside the group recreational sessions. From November-March sessions are open to everyone who can control their speed and direction on the Chill Factore main slope.
The group is run by a group of volunteers with support from instructors from the DSUK Manchester Adaptive Snowsport School.
The group meets: One Monday month (usually, but not always the 3rd Monday in the month) 6th-9th April-October & 7pm-8:30pm November-March, One Sunday a month (usually, but not always the first Monday in the month) 11am-12.30pm Sessions (usually, but not always, and not always for everyone) are followed by something to eat and drink in The Lodge in Chill Factore or in Wetherspoons next door.
