Due to the limited availability of adaptive snowboard instructors, we are restricted to how many snowboarding sessions we can provide on our holidays, but we will always try and provide an instructor for the trip that you would like to attend. If you are a snowboarder wanting to join us this season, please talk to a member of our team at the time of reservation.
We will ask for your weight at the time of booking. We will use this information to ensure you are matched with an appropriate instructor and to ensure that you do not exceed any maximum weight limits placed on any of the adaptive equipment. Thank you for your understanding.
Everybody who attends a DSUK adaptive snowsport holiday must be a current member of the charity. This includes family, friends and carers. If you are already a DSUK member, you will need to upgrade your individual membership to a family membership, so everyone in your group is covered. For more information about DSUK memberships or to sign up as a DSUK member, please click here.
We work closely with Crystal Ski to provide accessible accommodation and facilities wherever possible. Despite lots of improvements over the years, there may be some parts of resorts or hotels that are not fully accessible. If you have any questions about a particular hotel feature please feel free to contact us.
Most of our skiers and snowboarders will travel with the DSUK representative and all helpers from London Gatwick.
If you can travel independently (or with your carer/family/friends) it may be possible to fly from an airport nearer to you. This may incur a supplement, please note if you choose to do this there will be no extra assistance and you will meet the rest of the group and DSUK Rep at the hotel when you arrive.
The holiday price includes a transfer from the destination airport to your hotel. Please note, accessible transfers are only available on flights deprtaing from Gatwick – please let us know at the time of booking if you require an accessible transfer.
Session details are included in the resort information.
All holiday weeks offer ‘half day’ skiing or snowboarding private sessions; for the exception of our stand up snowsports week, which inlcudes full day group sessions. If sessions are identified as ‘half day’ then you will be skiing or snowboarding in the morning or afternoon, with the remaining time being your own. If you have a preference of morning or afternoon sessions, then please let us know at the first meeting upon arraival in resort.
For trips to Europe, your passport must be valid for at least three months after your return to the UK.
All participants on DSUK Holidays must have their own travel insurance covering winter sports in their policy. We recommend that you research travel insurance companies before you secure your booking. A copy of the policy will need to be sent to DSUK prior to full confirmation. Please note that we are unable to give any advice on insurance companies, but perhaps ask other skiers and snowboarders on our Facebook page.
You are welcome to take your own snowsports equipment if you would prefer. Please advise of this at the time of reservation.
To keep holidays as affordable as possible, pricing is based on twin accommodation as standard. This means that if you are travelling on your own, a supplement will be payable for single occupancy. The exact cost of this can vary, and you will be advised of this when you receive your offer of a place.
Our DSUK helpers are unable to provide any form of personal care. They are very happy to help out at the breakfast buffet, help with your snowboots, guide/assist around the resort etc. However they are not professional carers.
Please read the below, if you answer ‘yes’ to one or more of these statements you will be required to take a carer on the trip with you.
Several charities and organisations exist with the purpose of enabling disabled people and their families to benefit from a holiday. We have included a sample below:
DSUK continue to be immensely grateful for our generous and passionate volunteer helpers who give up their time to provide such valuable assistance to our skiers and snowboarders.
If you are thinking about joining us as a volunteer Helper this year, please ask us for information on how we can help you to raise funds to contribute to the cost of your trip.
Please refer to our FAQs document on our DSUK website, this can be found with all other 2025 holiday information.
