On Friday 4th March teamDSUK were delighted to join friends and colleagues for a wonderful day celebrating the start of the #WinterParalympics with so many Paralympics GB and GB Snowsport athletes, DSUK skiers and snowboarders trying new things and inspiring others at the Snow Centre in HemelHempstead.
The games shine a spotlight on what disabled people can achieve. Disability, injury or experience are no barrier to getting involved in skiing and snowboarding. If you are watching the games and wondering if you could try snowsport yourself, please get in touch. It’s easy and fun to get started.
Waking up this morning to the news that Millie Knight together with her guide Brett Wild had won a bronze medal in the Women’s VI Alpine Downhill on Day 1 is a wonderful start for the British team.
Millie Knight skied with DSUK early in her career and is a patron for the charity today. Who knows where your first lesson could lead!
